Quarterback Jalen Hall accumulated a total of 243 yards and two touchdowns as BYU defeated Arizona 24-16 at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday night in the opening round of both teams.

Hall, a sophomore red shirt in Spanish Fork, Utah, began his third career in the post-Zach Wilson era. Hall passed 198 yards 18-of-28 in two touchdowns to Cougar, who won 12 of the last 13 games.

The hall also added one catch 9 yards and 36 yards above the ground, including a 39-yard dash on the left sideline with a second touchdown pass.
