US Covid hospitalization reduced by 20% in 2 weeks

Due to the rapid decline in Covid-related hospitalizations in the United States, the number of people admitted to US hospitals is coronavirus Infection recorded a sharp decrease of 20% in 2 weeks.

Currently, 67,851 people are hospitalized in the United States, according to data compiled on Sunday by the New York Times. Of these, 17963 patients are admitted to the intensive care unit.

This is in contrast to the 96,000 Covid patients in hospitals nationwide recorded a month ago.

At the same time, a 19% reduction in infection was recorded in the last two weeks. According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University, 22201 new cases reported on Sunday increased the total number of Covid infections in the country to 44,339,830.

An additional 255 Covid deaths brought the total number of pandemic deaths to 713,350.

The low metric on Sunday is, in principle, due to the delay in reporting on holidays.

Ohio reported the most cases (5,399) over the weekend, while Texas (105) reported most COVID-related deaths.

California is the most affected state in terms of both COVID indicators, with 4,684,290 cases and 70,176 deaths from the disease there.

So far, 34,664,963 people have recovered from the country’s illness.

According to the latest data released by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 187,215,471 people in the United States, or 56.4% of the population, are fully vaccinated with the coronavirus. This includes 84 percent of people over the age of 65.

216,889,814 people, or 65.3% of the population, receive at least one dose.

So far, 401,819,240 vaccinations have been carried out nationwide.

To date, 7,786,263 people have been boosted, accounting for only 4.2 percent of the population.

In a major Covid-related news development outside the United States, the city of Sydney, Australia, lifted the 107-day blockade after passing key immunization targets.
