Texarkana, Texas 2021-09-23 13:40:43 –
At today’s meeting of board members of the Texarkana Regional Airport Authority, we discussed ongoing improvements, rent increases in the T hangar, and the potential impact of government vaccination requirements.
The board has approved a rent increase for the T hanger. A letter will be sent today notifying everyone affected by the rate increase after January 1, 2022. Currently, 36 units are rented for $ 185 and 4 storage units are rented for $ 80. Total $ 83,700.
The new monthly fee depends on the condition of the door. Is it old or new? Early new rents are projected to be $ 285 for hangers with old doors and $ 350 for hangers with new doors. Eventually, all hangers will be fitted with new doors and the rent for all 36 units will be $ 350. The airport is expected to generate a total of $ 156,960 and add $ 73,200 in revenue.
Currently, 10 people are on the waiting list in the hanger space. To add yourself to this list, please contact Tyler Brown ((870) 774-2171), Airport Real Estate Manager, or send an email. email@example.com..
House resolution 5204 Safe travel method I’m on a parliamentary subcommittee. If successful, all passengers must be vaccinated or tested negative within the last 72 hours. In addition, all airport staff and contractors must be vaccinated or tested weekly. According to Aviation Director Paul Mehrlich, all regional airport directors contacted representatives, stating that they felt these requirements had a negative impact on the holiday flight season. Continuing, the airport is dealing with COVID from the beginning, which will require more inspiration to support the budget.
Other issues considered and approved by the Board of Directors include: A basic contract for MCE to function as an engineering and design company for 3 years.
A basic contract for Kofman and Associates to function as an environment and planning company for 5 years. We also approve the lease of small tractors for maintenance.
A study to obtain wetland credits affected by Project Razorback has been approved. Project Razorback is an airport initiative to transform unused wooded land along 19th Avenue into general commercial non-aviation real estate.
The next meeting will be on October 28th. Time is allocated at the start of each meeting for public comments.
