Texarkana, Texas – Chevy Chase takes drive-thru orders at South Carolina fast food restaurant

Charleston, South Carolina (WCBD) – Comedy icon Chevy Chase suddenly visited a South Carolina chicken restaurant while in town for a special screening of his holiday classic National Lampoon’s Christmas vacation.

After a bite at Raising Cane’s in Charleston, Chase decides to work behind the counter.

He put on a Santa hat and started taking orders at the cashier before moving to the drive-through line. Chase also made time to chat with his new colleagues and make jokes with customers during his “shift.”

Fast food chains around the country, Raising Cane’s, are known for their chicken fingers and special sauces.

Chase is not known for his work in the restaurant business, but is known for his long career in the entertainment industry. The 78-year-old comedian was a cast member of “Saturday Night Live” and a former host of the show’s “Weekend Updates” segment. He also starred in movies such as the “National Lampoon” series and then returned to television for several seasons in “Community.”
