Portland, Oregon (KOIN) —A tentative agreement has been reached between striking workers and Fred Meyer and QFC store owners.

Late Friday night, according to a release from Local 555, the agreement resulted in the retailer’s scheduled week-long strike ending a day later.

“We are pleased that Fred Meyer and QFC recognize the continued danger to workers through a settlement agreement that provides significant wage increases, increased workplace protection, safe severance and quality medical care. “The release states.

Details have not been announced. Officials said the tentative agreement would be revealed after members saw it and voted. The date of ratification has not yet been set.

Fred Meyer officials said they are offering associates salary increases ranging from 0.55 cents to $ 3.70 during the three-year contract period.

Local 555 represents nearly 30,000 workers here in Oregon.

KOIN 6 News will announce details later in the day.
