Two people were shot dead all night in downtown St. Louis.
NS. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A 55-year-old man was injured in an overnight shooting in downtown St. Louis on Tuesday.
The shooting took place just before midnight on 1000 blocks on Washington Avenue. Police said the man was shot in the shoulder after he intervened in domestic violence between the suspect and the woman. He was listed in a critical and stable state after the shooting. The suspect has not been detained. On Saturday, police released a photo of a man with shoulder-length fear in connection with the shooting.
About a block away, two men were shot dead two weeks ago. Police believe the shooting took place after discussions outside the Reign Nightclub.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is ready to work with former National Guard Ron Johnson to help curb crime in downtown St. Louis.
This area is classified as one of the areas where the details of the St. Louis police summer violence are concentrated. This means that patrols in this area will increase from Wednesday to Sunday night. Last week, retired state police Ron Johnson announced that he would work with police to reduce crime in the area.
