Sustainability, comfort, adaptability and texture are the main trends in textiles. Suitable for a range of 100% recycled recyclable fibers.

Megatrend 1

Big City Wanderers -Sophisticated basics for all seasons and categories provide diversity and adaptability. It’s not about making more, it’s about making things smarter. The subtrends are:

  • Transseason Basic: The ongoing lifestyle changes have increased the need for trans-season basics and evolved basic wear into more sophisticated iterations.
  • Daily texture: Classic textures such as ribs, waffles and crepe jerseys are becoming more important in the casual wear market. Woven with functional threads, these familiar textures evolve into a necessity that offers versatility.
  • Versatile city: Consumers expect their purchases to have practical functionality for multiple uses. Everyday clothes made of functional fabrics that adapt to changing environments provide peace of mind.

Megatrend 2

Maximum technique- The demand for high-performance essentials is increasing due to the development of high-performance fabrics and the need for basic, better items that are quickly tracked by the pandemic. The subtrends are:

  • Thermoregulation: As activities change between different environments and needs, consumers seek core items that adapt to changing temperatures. Cooling and heating technology plays an important role.
  • Move the booster: Consumers will expect fabric innovation and comfortable stretching not only in performance wear, but also in core items. Update the core piece by emphasizing comfort and support.
  • Tough layer: As more consumers resume their outdoor activities, apparel needs to work harder to withstand all the factors. Lighter and more durable protective layers are essential for outdoor apparel.

Megatrend 3

Sensual moments: It invites physical and emotional comfort and provides an enhanced soft touch to soothe anxious consumers. The subtrends are:

  • Relief softness: Consumers who are increasingly looking for comfort and peace of mind are increasingly in need of soft and comfortable fabrics.
  • Cozy plush toys: We will upgrade the pile fabric, which is a must-have item for winter, to an environmentally friendly fabric with a soft touch.
  • Decorative textiles: Soft-touch decorative textiles approach consumers emotionally.

“It’s clear that interesting textures for sustainability, versatility, performance, and tactile experience will be the leading textile drivers for next fall / winter,” he said. Hyosung Fashion Design Center Team Manager Luis Hong.. “Fortunately, the entire portfolio of elastane, nylon and polyester has a wide range of options to accommodate these anticipated textile trends.”

Hyosung’s GRS Certified 100% Recycled Creola Recycled Spandex, Mipan Recycled Nylon and Recycled Polyester are unique in that they also incorporate performance characteristics to help brand retailers tell their own stories. For example, Hyosung’s Cleola Regene Fresh provides a deodorant and sustainable freshness. Mipan regenaqua-X nylon and regen Askin polyester provide cooling performance. Hyosung’s Cleola Haikuro’s chlorine resistance can protect swimwear fabrics and extend their lifespan. This improves durability in harsh pool environments.

“As a textile solution provider, we are grateful to work with the entire value chain to help our partners innovate and continue to deliver the products consumers want,” said Hong.
