Panama City, FL – Port St. Joe flooding Wednesday

Panama City, FL –

PORT ST JOE, Florida. WEATHER (WMBB) – The Panhandle saw plenty of rain coming in with Wednesday’s storms.

A moisture boundary halted on the southeast side of the region this evening causing widespread flooding on the 98 side of Port St Joe.

This video shows flooding beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Port St Joe near the Constitutional Convention Museum State Park and Allen Memorial Way.

Personal weather stations in Gulf County recorded up to 6 inches of precipitation.
Most Gulf counties were under a flash flood warning until 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time, with another 1 to 2 inches of rain forecast.

Brief drying is forecast for the region early Thursday, but the second wave of moisture will return to the eastern half of the panhandle Thursday afternoon and evening.

If you’re on the roads Wednesday night, remember to turn around, don’t drown. Even shallow water can flood car engines.
