PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) — Panama City Beach investigators arrested 21 men in a child sex trafficking sting in late May.

At a press conference Wednesday morning, Panama City Beach police said charges in Operation Rogue Wave include traveling to meet a minor for sex, soliciting a child and possessing pornography. juvenile.

A man was arrested for drug and weapons felonies and another for sexual battery in Alabama.

Operation Rogue Wave ran from May 18-22 and targeted people who wanted to travel to have sex with minors or people who tried to send ‘harmful material’ to minors, officers wrote in a press release.

Panama City Beach Police has partnered with the State’s Attorney’s Office, Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, FBI, FDLE, U.S. Marshal’s Service and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children during the operation.
