Missouri (KMOV.com)-The Missouri Department of Health has found that the mask obligation actually works, but has chosen not to make it publicly available.
Governor Mike Parson’s office in the Missouri Independent Report has asked the health department to analyze the data during the worst of delta surges this summer. This study compared infection and mortality in mask-obligatory areas such as cities and St. Louis County with other parts of the state.
The survey found an average of 15.8 cases per 100,000 people per day in jurisdictions with mask mandates, compared to 21.7 cases per day in areas without mask mandates.
According to Missouri Independence, the analysis was not included in the material prepared by the department for the Cabinet meeting.
