Las Vegas library hosts ‘Soul of Kwanzaa’ highlighting local artists and leaders | News – Las Vegas, Nevada

    Las Vegas, Nevada 2021-12-27 01:37:00 –

Las Vegas (FOX5)-A local library hosted Kwanzaa’s soul on Sunday, featuring African music and dance, and honoring community leaders.

Kwanzaa begins on December 26th and is celebrated for seven days. The event crossed the seven candles in Kwanzaa and talked about community, purpose, love and faith.

Event organizer Chimini-Yoka Branch said she has made Kwanzaa a part of her daily life from an early age.

“I feel like an 11 year old girl again. I can see people dancing and being happy, and seeing everyone so beautiful and so beautiful in color makes me feel really, really happy. It will be, “branch said. “Just celebrating being themselves makes me feel great.”

The event also honored local community leaders.
