LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — On Wednesday, the Southern Nevada Health District released the latest number of monkeypox cases in southern Nevada. monkeypox dashboard.

The SNHD has identified about 134 “confirmed or probable” cases of monkeypox, according to the report.

About half of these cases, about 54, are found in individuals aged 25 to 34 years.

130 cases (98% of cases) are reported to be male, many of whom are reported to belong to the LGBQ+ community (70% of cases).

The largest ethnicities affected in Southern Nevada appear to be Latino (30%), White (24%), and Black (23%) males.

About 3,280 vaccines have been administered, according to the SNHD website, but officials said: shortage of supplies.

SNHD will continue to monitor demographics such as race, age, gender and sexual orientation to update its dashboard weekly to update case numbers and vaccination rates.
