Nashville, Tennessee — It’s been a week since a deadly tornado struck Tennessee and Kentucky, tearing up neighborhoods and families.
On Saturday, former Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen head to Mayfield to help those who are still upset from the storm. They participate in hundreds of volunteers at Samaritan’s Purse.
An international Christian rescue group has deployed a disaster relief unit in Bluegrass with tools and equipment. They plan to help the family rescue their personal belongings and clean up the damaged roof with fallen trees and tarpaulins.
At least 24 tornadoes have occurred in Tennessee and are being investigated in Kentucky.
