A spokesperson for the U.S. Prison Department Kansas City Star Sheaby was found unresponsive in a federal prison in Leavenworth on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesman said Siabi was taken to a nearby medical facility and sentenced to death there.
The details surrounding the death are unknown … although the spokesperson reported that no other personnel or prisoners were injured.
Siavii (real name Saousoalii Siavii) was detained in prison after receiving multiple criminal accusations in 2019.
Federal prosecutors say the former soccer player was part of a large-scale plot to distribute methamphetamine. They also claim, among other things, that he had illegally carried a firearm to his man during a wild arrest in August 2019.
Siavii was selected from Oregon by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft … and then played 16 games in the Dallas Cowboys in 2009.
He spent a season at the Seahawks in 2010 before his career NFL ended in 2011.
