Buncombe County, North Carolina (WSPA) – The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said it had found an explosives ordinance in a search warrant Sunday morning.
The agent responded to a storage unit on the Smoky Park Highway as part of an investigation into the stolen property.
During the search, lawmakers found some explosives ordinance.
The Bomb Disposal Team at the Asheville Police Station, the FBI, and the ATF were notified and responded to the scene.
“Thanks to the support of APD personnel and their work in this dangerous situation,” says Buncombe County Sheriff Quentin Miller.
The sheriff’s office said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
