Dashworks is a search engine for your company’s sprawling internal knowledge – TechCrunch

Date:

As the company grows, the amount of important information that employees need to track will inevitably increase. Also, the more complex the technology stack, the more parts of that information will be divided. It can be embedded in Slack threads, embedded in Jira tickets, or pushed to Dropbox as a file.

Dashworks Is a startup that aims to be a reliable place for all its internal knowledge. Some landing pages and some search engines connect to dozens of different enterprise services and provide one hub for finding what you need.

At the front of the landing page, Dashworks is built as a home page for your laptop for work. It supports broadcasting company-wide announcements, creating FAQs, and sharing bookmarks for things that are frequently needed and never found (handbooks, OKRs, org charts, etc.).

However, more impressive is the cross-tool search. With a background in natural language processing at companies like Facebook and Cresta, co-founders Prasad Kawthekar and Praty Sharma can ask Dashworks and get answers from the knowledge gathered in all of the Slack threads mentioned above. I’m building a tool. Jira tickets or Dropbox files. You’ll see a search results page for related files for the entire service, but if you think you know the answer to your question, that answer will appear at the top of the page. Today, Dashworks can connect to over 30 popular services such as Airtable, Asana, Confluence, Dropbox, Gmail, Google Drive, Intercom, Jira, Notion, Slack, Salesforce and Trello. Priority is given by demand.

Giving other companies access to all these services and the knowledge within them can be daunting — the Dashworks team seems to know quite a bit. Kawthekar, their product is SOC-2 certification, If you choose to disconnect the service, all the respective data will be erased from the server. Also, for teams with the ability to host the tool itself, a fully on-premises version will be provided.

This week, Dashworks announced that it has raised a $ 4 million round led by a Point72 venture backed by South Park Commons, Combine Fund, Garuda Ventures, GOAT Capital, Unpopular Ventures and Starling Ventures. Many angels are also backing the round, including Twitch co-founder Emmett Shear and Gusto co-founders Josh Reeves and Tomer London. The company was also part of Y Combinator’s W20 class.
