A Palm Springs retreat once owned by Cher is for sale at $2.895 million.

Located in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood, the 4,015-square-foot house has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. It sits on a third-acre lot with a saltwater pool and spa.

Views of the pool and the mountains that rise above the privacy hedge in the backyard are framed by a row of French doors in the spacious primary bedroom suite anchored by a corner fireplace. It also boasts a lounge, a coffee/wet bar, two walk-in wardrobes, and a large bathroom.

Travertine stone floors fill the great room that combines the living and dining areas.

The home’s interior includes a gourmet kitchen with a center island and stainless steel appliances, a nearby walk-in pantry and a media room.

A built-in barbecue island completes the backyard offerings.

Maurice P. Minno of Bennion Deville Homes has the listing.

Cher bought the home in January 2004 through a limited liability company, which California Secretary of State records confirm was managed by her Inshallah Trust. At the time, the pop icon paid $650,000, property records show.

Records also show the house was sold in December 2007 for $1.95 million to the current owners.
