    California drivers are rushing to pick up cash spilled from armored vehicles | California

    Southern driver California After a bag of money fell from an armored car on the highway, I scrambled it to pick up cash.

    The incident occurred Friday morning on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad, when a vehicle was heading from San Diego to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s office, officials said.

    “One of the doors opened and a bag of cash fell,” said Sgt Curtis Martin of the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

    He said some bags broke, mainly $ 1 and $ 20 invoices spread across the lane, leaving the highway in a chaotic outage.

    A video posted online showed that people laughed and jumped into the air while holding a wad of cash.

    Two people were arrested on the scene, and Martin said he could be held criminally liable if it was discovered that another had received the money. Authorities didn’t immediately say how much money was lost.

    He pointed out that bystanders took a lot of videos, pointed out that the CHP and FBI were under investigation, and urged anyone who received the money to take it to Vista’s CHP office.

    By Friday afternoon, at least 12 people had done so, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

    “People bring in a lot,” Martin said. “People got a lot of money.”
