Bull: Canceled by CBS After 6 Seasons!

Bull is nearing the end.

And well … it’s not bullish.

Lead star Michael Weatherly confirmed the news on Twitter late Tuesday, jumped to his Twitter account and wrote:

Hello everyone! It was my privilege to play Dr. Jason Bull, but after six seasons of great stories, I decided it was time to pursue new creative challenges and end his story.

This message concludes the actor:

We are honored to work with this talented cast, crew and writing / production team to help reinvent the legal drama.

Please look forward to the finish of the big series …

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You will always be part of our bull family!

There are 12 episodes of Bull left.

The Series Finale will air in May.

Weatherly Left Smash CBS struck NCIS to secure his own series that was actually based on Dr. Phil McGraw’s life before becoming a talk show host and his work as a trial consultant.

It premiered in September 2016, and two years later, Eliza Dushku was caught up in a big controversy after being released in a sexual harassment allegation against Weatherly.

According to a New York Times report, Dushku claimed that Weatherly often spoke of her appearance in front of the cast and crew at the time.

She also said he made remarks about rape jokes and the trio.

Shortly after Dushku confronted the star about his actions, she was written down from the series.

CBS finally resolved the issue with Dushku for the reported $ 9.5 million and issued the following statement:

“Dushku’s claim is an example of how we continue to commit to a culture defined by a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace, while our work is not done yet.

“The settlement of these claims reflects the projected amount that Mr. Dushku would have received for the balance of a series of periodic contracts and was determined by a mutually agreed mediation process at the time.”

Weatherly also tackled the scandal in his own statement.

“In the process of taping our show, I made some jokes that mocked some lines of the script,” he said in late 2018.

“When Eliza said she wasn’t used to my words and humor, I regretted having offended her and immediately apologized.

“After further pondering this, I better understood that what I said was neither interesting nor appropriate. I’m sorry, but I regret the pain that caused Eliza.”

Meanwhile, CBS acknowledged the end of the bull by saying:

“For six seasons, Bull has established himself as a winner of the assessment with a fresh view of the judicial process that has never been seen on television.

“Thanks to the talented cast, Michael Weatherly, Geneva Carr, Yara Martinez, Jaime-Lee Kirchner, Christopher Jackson, MacKenzie Meehan, the amazing creative team led by Kathryn Price and Nicole Millard, and the hard-working crew. These innovative stories.

“We also thank our loyal viewers and look forward to providing the final run of a fascinating episode full of humor, intelligence and twist that made the drama a fan favorite.”
