It’s a cold and cold world … and even colder for a few skiers in North Carolina. They were obsessed with sub-zero water while it was already below freezing.
Check out this insane video shot at Beech Mountain Resort on Friday. Authorities say someone bumped into a water / air hydrant while descending a slope during a snowmaking operation … and apparently knocked everything off.
It’s a tough time for the people of Beech Mountain today.

As a result, a large amount of H2O was launched straight up and passed through the waterline directly below, creating a geyser effect for the passengers on the ski lift directly above.
Yes, quite a few of them got soaked through … but for some reason, these poor guests seem to be stuck in the middle of the water-absolutely soaked. It’s unclear how long they stayed in this position, but based on the video above taken by bystanders, it was at least 30 seconds.
Given the harsh conditions, these people can imagine that subsequent wear has worsened. Two guests were reportedly taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries … and some were reportedly completely blown off the chair lifts.
“Our operations and safety team has worked diligently to lower the lift and drain the system safely,” the resort added. “We believe everyone is okay except in unfortunate situations.” It operates on a regular basis. “
