British brand Victoria Beckham announces traceable merino wool lineup

Date:

British fashion brand Victoria Beckham has worked with Australia’s The Woolmark Company to design a sustainable and traceable collection of knitwear made from merino wool and natural dyes. Featuring cozy and comfortable sweaters, cardigans, knit accessories, intarsia details and contrast stripes for adults and children.

The collection is made from 100% merino wool in Pescara, Italy. As the original eco-fiber, merino wool is completely natural, renewable and biodegradable. Victoria Beckham chose non-mulesing merino wool, which is fully traceable to just five Australian wool producers, Woolmark said in a media release.

The collection’s color palette is rustic and warm, created using a unique plant-based dyeing process. Although it contains no chemicals, natural dyes use alternative ingredients such as flowers, leaves and berries to create vibrant shades. All garments are Woolmark certified and have been tested for life and discoloration resistance.

“I’m very excited to launch a collection on the shop floor from the farm. Mark this moment with a classic and fun design for kids as well as adults and make a perfect statement for everyone of all ages. I wanted to provide a cozy winter wardrobe building block. ” Creative Director Victoria Beckham..

The collection will be available for purchase at multiple retailers from October to November, including Saks Fifth Avenue, The Land, Miteresa, Harrods, Luisa Via Roma, Kedeve and Barneys Japan.
