The bodies of the two women were found along the same arterial road, just four days apart. Investigators say death is “suspicious.”
Amber Dillon’s death. 33. and Alyssa Mae Sawdey, 22, are being investigated by the sheriff’s office in the county where they were discovered.
However, it is not believed that death is linked.
Dillon’s body was discovered on January 7, after someone stopped police officers on the California Highway Patrol to report a body found near Highway 101.
According to the deputy Sonoma County Sheriff, the body was found “remotely away from the highways in the fields.” Dillon’s name was released on January 11th.
Sawdey was discovered on January 11 after the driver reported to 911 “an unresponsive person lying near the roadway.” She was found near the warehouse areas Parducci Road and Christy Lane.
“We have identified an adult female who has died, and then have been identified as Alyssa May Sodi,” said a deputy sheriff for Mendocino County. Her death is considered suspicious.
The forensic autopsy took place on January 12, but the results are not expected to be published “in the weeks”, the sheriff’s office said.

They added that the top priority was “finding how and why Dillion died.”
Sheriff Matt Kendal has ensured that the community is free of serial killers.

“At this point in the investigation, there are no signs that her death was related,” said Captain Greg Van Patten, Sheriff of Mendocino County, after Sodi’s body was discovered.
Both sheriff offices are asking the general public to contact any information related to any of the female deaths.
