America still doesn’t know what A disease known as Havana Syndrome US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in an interview Thursday after more American diplomats were reported ill in Paris and Geneva.

Blinken said the entire federal government is working to reach the root of the illness that afflicts about 200 US diplomats, officials and families abroad.

“So far, we don’t know exactly what happened, and we don’t know exactly who is responsible,” Blinken said in an interview with MSNBC.

Thursday’s Wall Street Journal Officials working for US diplomatic missions in Paris and Geneva, The United States and Russia held security talks on Monday over the strengthening of Moscow’s army near the Ukrainian border.

Blinken said the United States caused the illness with the Russians, but still cannot determine who was responsible.

Mysterious illnesses include migraine, nausea, memory loss, and dizziness. This was first reported among US officials in the Cuban capital in 2016.

Blinken said he met with State Department employees around the world who explained the illness and how these incidents disrupted their lives.

“There is no doubt that people are directly and strongly influenced,” he said.

“We are working overtime throughout the government to find out what happened to be responsible. In the meantime, take care of everyone affected and maximize everyone. Please make sure to protect it. “
