    92% of companies and factories in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam reopened

    More than 1,300 businesses and factories in Ho Chi Minh City’s Export Processing Zone (EPZ), industrial parks, high-tech parks (HTP), or 92% of all businesses in the city have reopened so far. Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing Zone and Industrial Park Authority (HEPZA). All 85 Saigon Tech Park companies have resumed operations.

    More than 230,000 workers, about 70% of the total EPZ, IP and HTP workforce, have returned to the factory. The Vietnamese newspaper reports that the local factory has not yet reached sufficient capacity to safely resume production.

    As companies gradually expand their businesses, more workers are expected to return in the future.

    According to the HCM City Export Processing Zone, more than 1,300 companies and factories in Ho Chi Minh City’s export processing zones, industrial parks and high-tech parks in Vietnam, or 92% of all companies in the city have reopened so far.
