Lake Lanier, Georgia (CBS46) — The Georgia Department of Natural Resources says it dives underwater on Lake Lanier on Thursday looking for a man who never appears again.
Wardens replied Thursday afternoon to Mary Alice Young about the possibility of drowning. They were told that a 46-year-old man was trying to work on his board when he got into the water, dived underneath and never surfaced again.
The search for the man began shortly after Thursday afternoon, but was later interrupted due to darkness.
On Friday morning, several agencies returned to the water with sonar and tried to find the man. At this time, he has not been identified.
