#1. Critical Workers Stream

Eligibility Criteria For Applying for the Critical Worker PEI PNP
- Candidates must have a full-time job offer from their PEI employer.
- Candidates must have worked in PEI for a minimum of six months for the employer making the job offer.
- All candidates must have proficiency in English or French, proven by official language results. These tests must be of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4.
- The allowable age bracket here is 18-59 years.
- The said candidates are applying for permanent residency, hence, they must show intention to reside in PEI.
- Candidates must have at least completed secondary education.
- Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience relevant to their offer in the past 5 years.
#2. Express Entry Stream
The express entry stream was put together for people outside of Canada who wish to apply for a job and permanent residency in Prince Edward Island. This scheme is for immigrants and intending immigrants, hence it does not require any prior work experience in PEI like the Critical Workers stream does. Eligibility Criteria For Applying for the Express Entry PEI PNP
- Individuals who wish to apply must have at least a high school diploma.
- These individuals must also have work experience in areas ranked 0, A or B under the NOC skill level ranking. In addition, they must have at least two years of continuous work in that skill area.
- Intending candidates must be between 21 and 59 years of age.
- Having a job offer is not mandatory in Express Entry, but priority will be given to those living or working in Canada.
- Furthermore, they must have a Federal Express entry profile number
- Candidates are required to have result-proven proficiency in English or French. For English, IELTS is the preferred examination, and you should try to score at least 6 bands in each module.
